My Favourite Sim Racing Streamers

First of all – what is a streamer? Well, a sim racing streamer is someone who broadcasts, or streams, sim racing content over the internet, usually on twitch.tv. They stream their practice, qualifying and races live for people to watch.

Sometimes, they just talk to their community and respond to what’s being said on their text chat. It’s amazing how some streamers can read and respond to text chat while they are racing.

While some are on YouTube, most live streamers use twitch.tv.

Although you can find plenty of sim racing and related content on YouTube, these are more usually recorded and edited videos rather than live content. Some do both. They will stream live on twitch.tv and stream or record videos for YouTube.

You can ‘follow’ your favourite streamers on twitch.tv, something that all streamers will appreciate. Or, for a small monthly fee you can subscribe to their channel and they will receive a proportion of that money.

You can subscribe, which is basically the same as following on twitch.tv, to someone’s YouTube channel for free or become one of their members for a small monthly fee.
